ALLEGED PERJURY.

Per Press Association. Westport, last night. The Magistrate’s Court was occupied the whole day hearing a charge of perjury brought by Roland Powell against Edward Fayen, both members of tlje Westnort Garrison Artillery. Powell alleged that Fayes was guilty of perjury in stating that he had been present at a meeting in the orderly room of the drill-shed on October 14, 1902, and heard complainant use insolent language to Captain Barre. The evidence was of a very conflicting nature, and Mr Hawkins, S.M., dismissed tho case.
