The Pylades visited Solomon Islands to enable Mr Jackson to confer with Mr Woodford, the British Commissioner, prior to his visiting Queensland. Tho Premier to morrow confers with Mr Jackson on tho question of tho deportation of kanakas. What tho scope of the conference is tho Premier is unable to say. It is rumored that Mr Jackson has been asked by tho Home authorities to report on the probablo offect of the recent Federal legislation on the deportation of kanakas.
