A METEOR.
Per Press Association. Blenheim, last night. A magnificent moteor glorified the heavens.just before 12 o’clock last night. A brilliant orb, larger than a full moon, of starling intensity, swept grandly across the sky from south-west to north-west, like a departing world, followed by a broad and lengthening track of light of multicolored luminosity, finally bursting into dazzling Btreams of light. At sea the celestial display was superb. Captain North says that in 40 years of nautical experience, he has seen nothing so imposing. Wanganui, last night.
A brilliant meteor fell at 11.30 last evening of the shape and color of the moon. It burst like fireworks, illuminating the whole of the town.
