REDUCTION IN WHARFAGES.,

(Per Press Association.) NAPIER, last night. .The Napier Harbor Board decided to make the following reductions in the .wharfage rates

EXPORTS. Wool, skins, and flax, from Is to Gd per bale ; wool, etc., landed for dumping, from Cd to 3d per bale ; frozen meats, kidneys, and casings, from 2s Gd to Is per ton. Live sheep from 2d to Id. General exports, to Is per ton, IMPORTS,

Coal and coke, from 2s to Is per ton ; general imports, from 2s Gd to 2s per ton. Labor and haulage charges on all goods were reduced from ‘Jd to Gd per ton. Port charges on coastal vessels were altered to 2d per ton on arrival, instead of Gd per ton quarterly. The charge for storage ip examination sheds Was made the same as for free sheds, i.e., Is per ton or part of a ton per day or pari of a day, vessels landing goods on holidays or outside the Board’s ordinary business hours to pay a storage charge of sixpence per ton. The charge for lay days was reduced by one-half all round for steamers.
