SLY-GROG SELLING
SENTENCES OF IMPRISONMENT.
Per Press Association. Hamilton, last night. As the result of numerous charges of illicit sale of liquor at Te.Kuiti, King Country, which occupied the Magistrate’s Court at Te Awamutu from Tuesday to Saturday, the following sentences were delivered Charles Triers was charged on eleven informations, convicted on three charges, and sentenced to one month’s imprisonment with hard labor on each charge. Two charges were dismissed and the rest withdrawn. William Thompson, on seven informations, was convicted on four oharges. On the first conviotion he was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment, to commence at the expiration of the first sentence. On the other two conviotions he was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment. William Follas, charged ' on eight informations, was convioted on six charges, and sentenced to one month’s imprisonment on each charge, to run consecutively. One charge was withdrawn, and the other dismissed.
