ADVANCE OF PENNY PEE POUND
(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. To-morrow tho Auckland butchers advance the price of meat generally Id per lb all round, but in the caso of tho shank end of legs of mutton tho advance is 1M per lb, Compared with this time last year prices for meat all round works out at about the same, for although mutton was cheaper beef was dearer.
