WAAIHIRERE WATER SUPPLY.

(To the Editor Gisborne Times.)

Sir, As Mr Mostayor and his Waihirere wator supply were defeated at tho poll last Wednesday, I think that the Mayor should take his boating and not go round the country braying like a motherless lamb. If Mr Perhain has come here to report on water conservation, lot him. do it and then get on with his work, and leave the. ratepayors to choose what they think is right, as they aro the onos who have to pay for it. Tho quickest way now to obtain a sound water supply is for the Mayor and tho Councillors to bar “ Dug.” and “ Motu Jim.” . Anyone with tho knowledge of a Third Standard boy can plainly soo that the Mayor and his side aro out of Court, judging by tho result of the poll. — I am, etc., Ratepayer.
