RECORD PRICES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, last night. Record prices were realised at the Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.’s sale of Carl Anderson’s stock to-day. Tho indication is that Holateins aro coming into favor in this district. One crossbred cow realised £2O, another £22. and the whole herd, including several late calves, averaged £ll I3s 6d. An old Holstein bull was bought after strong competition for £4O, and a calf two days’ old £ll. BURNED TO DEATH. A child named John William Batchelor, years of age, was burned to death by its clothes catching fire at Tokomaru this morning.
