CRUSHED TO DEATH.

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. George Ashcroft, aged 24, was instantaneously killed at Cable’s foundry this afternoon. A piece of machinery weighing about seven tons was suspended abovo tho floor. As ho was passing underneath it crashed down, pinning him to tho ground. His body was terribly crushed.
