THEATRES UP TO DATE.
(To the Editor ol the Times.) Sir, —I am deputed by several visitors to your prosperous city to crave the hospitality of your valuable columns for the purpose of congratulating the citizens upon the very excellent place of amusement which they possess. They desjre me to say that the general architecture of the building, added to the beautifully soft seating accommodation, commended itself to their approval, np leas than the modern methods adopted in case of an outbreak of fire during a performance. The “ powers that be " are to be highly complimented for the vigilance displayed in ensuring playgoers comfort and safety. This model institution is surely worthy of emulation by Jfinflred cities.—l am, etc., VisrTOH.
