COURT CASES.
(Per Press Association.) Westport, last night. J. W. Scully was committed for trial for unlawfully using an instrument. Two additional informations for administering noxious drugs are being heard today. . Dunedin, last night.
In tho Police Court, for smoking opium, and having it in their possession, some Chinamon were fined 10a and costs each. In the case of J. W. Chadwick, charged with affixing labels to bottles containing a mixture purporting to bo Townsend’s Sarsaparilla, defendant was fined 10s and costs, £8 19s 6d. New Plymouth, last night, In tho District Court this morning Judge KettJo suspended tho discharge of a bankrupt named J. N. Whitfield for two years, on tho ground of reckless trading and failure to keep propor books. Albort Elgar, whoso estato paid 183 6d in the £, was granted a discharge.
