looked to ascertain the causo, whoreupon the man with the revolver bolted. The noise was caused by a second naan in Buchanan’s doorway. He also bolted. The detective chased and collared this man, who, with a revolver at his head, offered but little resistance. Ho was lodgod in the lock-up. He had in his pos- | session tools used by burglars.
