LATE SHIPPING

THE TE ANAU. [(Special to Times.) Napier, last night. The Te Anau sailed at 8 o’clock for Gisborne. Passengers—Mesdames Gurr, McLean, Parker and two children, White, Plummer; Misses Anderson and Smythe; Messrs Jacks, Donnelly, Brothers, Saxby, Bartlett, O’Sullivan, Lambeth, Harcourt, Mora, Hood, Dobson, Gibson, Todd, Ghrr, Parker, White, Plummer, Quigley, Scoon, Muir (2), Heycock.

The auxiliary schooner Aotea left Auckland on Monday, July 13th, and arrived at the Bay of Plenty on the 16th, and landed cargo at five different places. The East Cape was rounded on Sunday, 19th, and owing to heavy weather and rough weather she ran on to Waipiro for shelter, and lay under Tawhiti Poind until Tuesday, when discharging operations were commenced and carried on during Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday Wharoponga, Tuparoa, and Awanui were worked. The schooner returned to Waipiro on Friday, where she lay in shelter on account of the strong south-easterly. Work was resumed and eompleted at Waipiro on Sunday, there being 50 tons of cargo and a large quantity of timber put out. The schooner arrived at Tokomaru on Monday and landed cargo, and also shipped a quantity of sundries and wool, leaving for Tolago the same day. Tolago, Pakarae and Whangara were worked; leaving the latter place at 2 p.m., she arrived at the wharf at 7.15. Her cargo for this port consists of 30 tons wire for Williams and Kettle, 10 tons pipes for Williams and Kettle and Common, Shelton and Co., 10 tons sugar and 250 cases of kerosene for Common, Shelton and Co., and 15 tons sundries for various consignees. The schooner leaves for Coast ports and Auckland on Saturday
