CRICKET ASSOCIATION.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, last night. At a meeting of the Cauterbury Cricket Association to-night committees were set up to consider the question of improving cricket in the province. Proposals for the inauguration of a district system and the importation of professionals were mooted. It was decided to endeavor to send a team through the North Island during the coming season. A request from the West Coast Association for a Canterbury team’s visit was referred to the incoming committee for favorable consideration.
