Wellington, la3t night. The insurance on ihe Widows’ Life Assurance building is ,£2500 in the Guar* dian oflico ; there is also a policy in the same office for £3OO against rent on tho building, and another £3OO ou the brick building at tho back of the main promises, and occupied by Messrs Hayland and Kean, but not touched by the fire. The Guardian has distributed its risks among other offices : .£SOO in the Yorkshire, £333 6s 8d in the North British, and £3OO in the South British office. The fittings and furniture are insured in tho Phoenix for £2OO. Messrs McKee and Co. had policies for £IOO each in the South British, North Queensland, and the New Zealand offices. Gooch, who estimates his loss at £IOO, was insured for £6O in the Royal Exchange. Smith’s furniture was insured for £l5O in the South British, and his books for £3O in tho Phoenix. Messrs Chambers and Co.’s stock is covered by a policy of £SOO in the United. The Y.M.C.A.’s new piano was insured for £SO, aud the remainder of the furniture, etc., for £4O.
