ADDINGTON MARKET.
Per Press Association* Christchurch, last night. In consequence of tho holiday, there wore small entrios at Addington market to-day. Pat Cattle. —Tho entrios numbered 231, including a fair proportion of steers and prime heifers. The market, on the whole, was fairly, easy, but some pons of especially good quality sold remarkably well. Steers made from £6 15s to £ll 7s 6d ; heifers, £5 17s 63 to £9 Os; cows, £5 10s to £9 10s ; beef, 25s to 29s per 1001 b. Fat Sheep.—As entry was smaller than usual, keen , o npetition uf butchers and export buyers resulted in a satisfactory sale. Best freezing wethers sold from 18s lOd to 22s 53, medium 16s 7d to 18s, best butchers’ owes 16s to 21s 93, medium 11s 93 to 15s 83, wethers and ewes 14s 6d to 20s.
Fat lambs. —There was a small yarding and the quality was abovo the average. There was a good demand for export, and prices wore from 0d to Is abovo those ruling last week. Freezers made from 12s 9d to 10s 9d, butchers’ 9s to 16s 3d.
Pigs,—There was a poor entry, and small attendance, and prices obtained afforded no indication of values.
