The Arbitration Court award practically amounts tu an injunction restraining tho Newcastle colliery proprietors from disturbing tho present hewing rate until after tho closo of this year. Tho Court found that according to tho agreement botwoon tho proprietors and minors, tho meeting of proprietors iu March last, which decided to reduco tho selling prico of coal, was not properly constituted. It was not such a hod}’ as tho minors had given power to fix Iho selling prico or determine tho hewing rate ; also tho custom ol tho district was to fix tho bowing rate for tho whole year.
