ESPLANADE ROAD.

At the Cook County Council meeting yesterday a letter was received from the Borough Council, expressing a hope that the County would contribute to the Esplanade road when funds were available. Cr Harding said the work was very necessary. The Council was using the road daily, and if they could see their way to grant the money out of the incoming rates they should do so. Cr Gray: It is really burdening next year’s rates. Captain Tucker: The difficulty I see is that it is not a county road. Cr Cray : We have enough to do to keep our own roads open.
