SUPREME COURT.

At the Supremo Court to-day Samuel Barnes and Joseph Martin were found guilty of the theft of grass-seed and sheepskins at Maraekakaho, Barnes, a workman who had apparently been led away by the other prisoner, being ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, and to pay ,£5 5a towards the costs of tho prosecution. Martin, who had three previous convictions against him, aggregating thirteen years and six months, was sentenced to two years’ hard labor. Frederick Power and William Jones, charged with assault and robbery at Porangahau, were found not guilty.
