ANOTHER TEAM ACCIDENT,

Auckland, last night. A young man named James Gamble, carter, was leading a horse, when it took fright at an electric tram car and jumped in front of the car, dragging Gamble across the rails. The emergency brake was applied, but Gamble was then practically under the car, and was caught by the lifeguard. He was extricated, but he had received serious injuries to one arm, both knees, and also a scalp wound. He was taken to the hospital, and the arm was amputated at the elbow. Though not out of danger he is doing well.
