RICHARDSON AGAIN IRRITATES JUDGIO CONOLLY.
(Per Press Association.)' AUCKLAND, Last night.in the charge of criminal lihel against Richardson and Bell, the former this morning argued in support of his plea, expressing an opinion as to what course the judge should have pursued. Judge Conolly eventually remarked : “ How dare you talk to me about my duty 7” Richardson : I hope your Honor won’t attempt to browbeat me. The Judge said very few Judges Jould have allowed defendant to remain n Court. Richardson said that if that was the law it ought to he amended.; Richardson then accused the Judge of being a thorough partisan. Judge Conolly then had him locked up in the cells, tun shortly aiter released him to allow the case to proceed.
