Compared with the opening prices merinos and all grades of fine crossbreds advanced 5 per cent. 1 all grades of coarse crossbroi fell another :}d, but during-the last few days recovered the opening level, and closed firm ; all lambs wool advanced 10 per cent. The following aro tho estimated values: Now Zoaland wool—Fine crossbred 81d to Is o£d per lb, medium 6d to 9d, coarse 5d to 7d, superior merino Is to Is 1H averago 101-d to ll*d, inferior 8d to Old.”

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Limited, report receipt of tbe following London cable. Wool sales closed firm with buyers at the highest prices of tbe sales. As compared with closing rates of last sories greasy merino wools aro 5 to 10 por cent, higher , scoured ditto, any change is in favor of sellers ; greasy fino crossbred wools, o per cent, higher; greasy medium crossbred wools, par; ditto, coarse, 5_ por cent, lower; greasy lambs’ wool, o tol0 P" cent, higher. Total available for sale 167,000 bales, of which 78.000 bales have boon sold for home consumption, 71,000 bales for the Continent, 6000 bales for America, leaving 17,000 bales to bo carried forward to tlio next series.
