The cloaring salo of the Opawa station (now Chamberlain settlement) opened today, and was very largely attended, there being closo on a thousand persons present. Sheep and implements wore sold to-day; cattle and horses are to be sold to-morrow. The sheep_ sale was most successful, and ranged in quality from prime to station culls. Half-bred ewes sold at from 163 6d to 17s; half-bred lambs 7s 7d, wethers 11s 4d to 15s ; threequarter bred owes, 14s, 15s, 16s, 16s 3d; ditto, wethers, 12s 6d to 14s lOd ; merino owes, 11s 5d to 13s; lambs, 6s 4d to 6s 6d; wethers, 9s ; merino wethers, 8s 6d to 9s 5d j rams, to 3;)gs (the lattor English Loicesterß).
