It is understood that Government lias recommended the Governor to call to the Legislative Council the Hon. T. Thompson, of Auckland, cxMinister for Justice ; W. F. C. Carncross, of Eltham, ex- member for Taieri; Francis Trask, ex-Mayor and member of Harbor Board, Nelson ; and Alfred Baidey, member of Land and Education Boards, Southland.
