INFECTIOUS DISEASES WARD
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night
A largely-attended meeting of re , presentatives of local bodies was held ito-day to consider the Health Department’s scheme for the erection of an infectious diseases’ hospital at Point Chevalier. A good deal of feeling was displayed at. the action of the Health Department in forcing on the scheme in spite of the protests of the local bodies, and a committee was appointed to interview Dr Mason and suggest a modification of the scheme to reduce the cost.
