PAINFUL ACCIDENT,

(Per Press Association.) CPIRISTCHURCPI, last night.; An elderly man named John Tnulgeon. while getting on the train at Kaapoi to-day, missed his looting and fell on to the rail. His left arm was crushed by a wheel of the carriage passing over it, and had to be amputated.
