HARBOR BOARD,
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. Mr Nicholas Reid was to-day elected Chairman of tho Woffington Harbor Board.
AMALGAMATION,
Tho movement towards a greater Wellington has been advanced a further stage. A basis of amalgamation has boon arrivod at between Melrose Borough and tho City Council, and tbo Melroso Council to-day confirmed tho resolution passed at tho previous meeting to take a poll of electors on tho subject. Tho matter will be decided one way or another by next month.
