At the Arbitration Court, at Whangarei, Mr Justice Cooper was presont, and, with Messrs Brown and Slater, heard a disputo between the Northern Coal Company and tho Hikurangi Miners’ Union. Tho Court decided that they had no jurisdiction, no ballot of tho Union having been takon concerning the dispute. Tho parties at a meeting to-day will endoavor to arrive at an agreement.
