BATHING FATALITY.
IN TABLE BAY. Capetown, Jaa. 3. M. Zahn, son of Dr Zahn, Lutheran pastor, Capetown, and S. Dowso wore drowned while bathing at Genoadonthal on tho oOthin company of two friends. The first who went in was Dowse, thon M. Zahn, Dowso came to a spot wlioro he got into deep yator, and tried to turn back, but unfortunately ho slipped off, and with a cry of "help ”he went down. Zahn had a stick in his hand and tried to roach him with~it, but failed, as tho stick was too Bhort, and when young Dowse came to the surface he went after him to save him. All that the remaining two now saw was that as soon as Zahn reached tho drowning companion they both went down, and as the remaining two could not swim they
were not able-to assist them in any way. Young Zahn had just passed the Matriculation Examination. Mrs Dowso only a few months ago lost her husband.
