RAM FAIR.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, last night. The annual ram fair was held at Hastings to-day. Heavy rain fell throughout the day, and although there was a large attendance bidding lacked spirit. The entries numbered 2421, being an increase of 123 on last year’s figures. Of the total, 113 were stud and 2038 flock rams. Lincolns were the most numerous, with English Leicesters next. Flock rams went up to sgs each, which was the price paid for shearling Lincolns, bred by Mr W. Wybourne, Whenuakura, and also for some bred by Mr J. D. Hughes, Waverley. Studs were headed by three Lincolns from Mr W. H. Wybourne’s flock, which went for 37gs, 30gs, and 20gs respectively. A 2-sbear Border Leicester stud ram, bred by the Hon. J. D. Ormond, reached-JOgs.
