The Addington sales took place to-day. Fat cattle: 218 wore yarded. There were & few prime bullocks and steers, but the bulk were secondary sorts. The bidding was slack, and values wore easier, except for really prime. Beef brought 22s to 26s ; prims bullocks, £l3 to LlB 15s ; steers, £1 to Til 7s 6d; heifers, £0 to L 8 7s 6d. Best cows, £l los to £9 12s 6d ; other sorts, £5 10s to £l.
Storo cattle : There was a good entry of first-conditioned young sorts, but a dull sale. Yearlings brought 29s to 80s ; 15 to 18 months, £2 10s to £3 lls ; 2yr steers, £0 lls ; heifers £4 14s; Syr heifers, £6 9s ; dry cows, £2 10s to £5 ; dairy cows, £4 to A'9 15s.
Fat sheep : About 4000 were yarded, principally ewes, with a few good lines of wethers. Exporters kept wethers at last week’s rates, but were holding off ewes, which were consequently easier. Prime heavy wethers brought 20s to 20s 9d; freezers, 16s to 19s 7d; prime heavy ewes, 17s to 18s 4d; good, 14s 6d to 16s ; inferior, 12s to 14s.
Fat lambs : 2800 were yarded, mostly prime, and there was a good salo at 18s 6d to 15s and up to 15s 7d for prime froezers, and down to lls 9d for inferior butchers’ sorts.
Store sheep : 7006 were yarded, mostly lambs and wethers, whioh, with good sound-mouthed breeding ewes, were in keen demand at advanced rates. Two and four-tooth wethers brought 14s to 15s sd, two-teoth do. lls 9d to 13s Id; mixed 2 tooths, 15s 6d ; 4-tooth ewes, 16s 3d ; 2 and 4-tooth do., 13s 4d ; sound mouthed, 9s lid. Lambs, 8s 4d to lls lOd.
Pigs: 350 were yarded. All sortß were much easier. Baconers brought 36s to 555, or 4£d per lb ; porkers 24s to 345, or 41d to sd; large store, 22s 6d to 28s; smaller, 15s to 20s; suckers, weaners, 9s to 12s.
