LABOR LEGISLATION.

The Labor Conference has resolved that amending legislation to restore the Trades Unions to the legal position occupied prior to the Taff Vale tiecision be made a first plank in their fighting platform. The Conference adopted a resolution in favor of amending the Federal Constitution so as to limit the present power of ihe Imperial authorities to veto Cornmen wealth legislation, and urging lliao provision be made if a vetoed Bill again passed the Federal Parliament after a general election, or is approved by a national referendum, that the veto become inoperative and the measure become law.
