New South Wales won by 10 wickets and three runs. South Australia in the second innings made 134 ; Keedman 42, Hack 41. Hopkins took three wickets for 9, Howell five for 40, Mcßeth two for 54. Requiring a couple to win, Howell and Kelly opened the innings for New South Wales. Before either scored four extras were secured.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, last night. Hawke’s Bay’s second innings realised 157. The Englishmen thus win by an innings and 198 runs. The additional scores were : Macassey b Thompson 35, Hughes c Bosanquet b Thompson 4, Gibson b Burnup 5, Orr not out 9, Torkilson c and b Burnup 6, extras 16.
