LORD RANFURLY’S MOVEMENTS,

Lord Ranfurly arrived at Onehunga this morning from Wellington. The suggested sites for a Veterans’ Home were inspected by His Excellency this morning, and in the afternoon Lord Ranfurly was engaged on official matters. On Sunday tho Governor leaves for Wellington.

RECEPTION TO CRICKETERS,

The members of tho team of English cricketers wero officially welcomed at tho Municipal Chambers this afternoon. The members of the Committeo of the Auckland Cricket Association and a number of other enthusiasts assisted in tho welcome, thcro being some fifty or sixty persons present. Speeches wore made by the Mayor, Mr Warner, captain of the English team, and others.
