FATAL ACCIDENT.

BOY CRUSHED TO DEATH.

(Per Press Association.) Thames, last night

An inquest was held this afternoon on tho body of Stanley Hoy Davis, the throe-year-old son of Mr S. Davies, of Hikutaia, who was accidentally crushed to doath through being run over by a dray. Tho father was engaged carting metal, and the boy was riding on top of the load. Tho shaft horso gave a lurch to one side, and Davis on looking back to see tho cause, saw his son lying on tho road, the cart having gone right ovor his body. Death was insrantancous. A verdict of accidental doath was returned.
