DAMAGE BY FIRE. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Dunedin, last night. A few minutes after eleven o’clock on Saturday night a fire broke out in a six roomed houso in Union street, occupied by Thomas Blair, and owned by Mrs Chalmers, of Roslyn. The place was gutted. The furniture and effects, valued at £l5O, were not insured. The insurance on the house is unknown. The adjoining nine-roomed house, insured for £6OO in the Royal Exchange, was damaged at one end. A little before midnight a fire broke out in Lewin’s fish shop, adjoining Mr Comrie’s grocery shop, Great Ring Street. Both places were damaged. Lewm's in suraneeis not known. Mr E. Holmes is the owner. Mr Connie's stock was insured ior £SOO in tne North German office, and the building for £3OO in the National. The owner resiUes in Eng laud. TROTTING MEETING.
