ADDINGTON MARKETS.

PRICES WELL MAINTAINED. By Telegraph— Press Association. Christchurch, last night. At the Addington markets there was a large attendance. Fat cattle : 171 wore yarded, and nearly all were from good to prime quality. Tiio best sorts were keenly competed fur up to 60 i per 100:b. Others were easier at 28s lo 203. Fat sheep: Tliero were 7000 yarded, mostly shorn and of good quality, especially crossbred. For ewes the market appeared dull, but improved, owing to competition for export. Shorn heavy wethers sold from 2Js Od to 20s rid, io

Fat lambs : Upwards of 700 wero yarded, mostly of u good quality, and competition was a liltio weaker. Freezers sold from 14s Id to 17s Id, light 9s Od to 12s od, up tu 19s for extra prime. Store sheep : 21U0 were yarded, principally ewes and lambs. There was a fair demand for all classes ; wethers in wool sold at 10s -Id and shorn 12s 6d to 1-ls 7d, shorn ewes with lambs (ail counted) 5s 9d, hoggets in wool 11s. Pigs : 488 were yarded. All sorts were in good demand. Baconers sold from 40s to 03s, to 78s for extras, or od per lb : porkers 25s to OSs, or 5.1 d to Od ; good stores 13s to 225, up to iiOs for extra ; small sorts Ss to 14s.
