AG BICULT U HAL SHOW. By Telegraph —Press Association. Blenheim, last night. Too Agricultural and Pastoral Show opened to day, in good weather. The entries show an increase of 130 per cent, on those of last year, constituting a record, and the show is an unprecedented success. Despite the backward season, the sheep make up the best exhibition ever seen here, and there is a big collection of agricultural machinery. Apart from the local exhibitors of sbeep, Messrs G. and A. Hunt, of Nelson, were the most successful outsiders, gaining ten first prizes id Romneys and English Leicester's and showing the champion English Leicester ewe. The weather is promising for tho peoples’ day to-morrow. COURT CASES. At the Supreme Court to-day the case, Horton v. Sturroek, was concluded. The judge, summing up in favor of the plaintiff, the jury found a verdict for the plaintiff, and awarded him X'iO damages, and costs on tire lowest scale were allowed. In j the ease, White v. Green, an action to recover of property, valued at X 460, was commenced, and Hie Court adjourned till priday morning.
