RABBITERS’ UNION. (Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. At a mooting of rabbiters to-night it was resolved to form an Otago and Southland Rabbit Trappers’ Industrial Union of workers. The object is to obtain a satisfactory price for rabbits and improve conditions generally. Mr W. Hood, President of the local Trades and Labor Council, Was appointed President. AN APPOINTMENT.
Tho Drainago Board havo appointed James Moffat, of Dunedin, Inspector o I Works, out of a number of applicants from various parts of the colony. LORD TENNYSON.
The Premier to day received a reply from Lord Tennyson, Acting-Governor General, through Deputy Governor, that ho was grateful to His Excellency, Ministers, and people of New Zealand, for their kind expressions of sympathy in his illness. Ho is thankful at being able to say that he is much better, and hopes to be soon restored to health.
