There is more in the arrest of Harrison and Packman than would at first appear from the simple charge of keeping a gaming house, etc. Detectives McGrath, Broberg, Boddam, and Cameron, raided an office in. the New Zealand Consolidated Dental Buildings, on tho corner of Mercer and Cuba streets, opposito the Central Fire Brigade Station, this office being the gaming house or premises referred to in tho charge. It was rented by tho " Tasmanian parcels express delivery company,” and circulars found on tho premises state that “ small parcels can bo sent or left with us for despatch by express delivery to Tasmania, booking fee nj." Tbo detectives executed a search warrant and ari'CStcd the occupiers or tenants, the two accused. Some timo ago the Federal postal restrictions on eorres. ponden"e addressed to Adams, or Tattersal’s, Tasmania, came into force. It happens t!;at almost all tho (l parcels” found in the offico of accused weip P arc °h s addressed to Adams (or to TatiersaYlj, Hobart, Tasmania. Tho polico seized tbo packages and documentary evidence, from which it would appear that thoso who thus addressed tho packages included wellknown citizens. Harrison is said to bo manager of "the company, and Packman his assistant.
