(Per Press Association.) New Plymouth, last night. Air 11. Okey, a candidate for Taranaki addressed a packed meeting here to-night He uuuouuced himself as an Independen Liberal, aud received a vote of thanks. CHARGE OF THEFT.
At the Police Court to-day, two young men named Brownlee and Alartm pleaded guilty to a charge of theft of two one pound notes from a tent on the beach. They were remanded to Auckland for sentence.
