The withdrawal of Seclusion yesterday aud Abington to day upset calculations considerably. Yl'he bulk of tho business was done with u" tubers of tho betting ring, who are reducing their liabilities. The final lending of tho card took place at the. Victoria Club tonight. Tho attendance wan not large, and business was decidedly dull. The bulk of the meney wagered, excepting that against Rienzi, being taken by the ring members. Solid support was extemti d to Flagship and The Idler, whose party are remarkably confident. Vanity Fair was befriended for nearly T’.IOOO at 100 to uj', and Footbolt for a similar umount at 100 to 4.1. Rienzi was backed to win L‘4ooo at 100 to 6 to 7, leaving off at the latter figuvo. Prices on offer at the close were :—ll to 1 against AirMotor, 100 to 14 The Idler, 10U 121 Flagship, 100 to 9 Kilt, 100 to 7 Folicitous and Rienzi.
Later. —Rienzi was supported at 100 to 8, and Kilt at 10 to 1, The Idler 8 to 1. Air-Motor eased slightly, and loft off at 9 to 2, with plenty of money offering. Sydney, Oct. 17. The Daily Telegraph tips Air-Motor, or Kiuglock, to win.
