Auckland, last night. At a meeting of the Board of Education a request was received, asking that forms should be supplied to Roman Catholic schools for filling up by the truant-officers. It was stated that if Roman Catholic schools intended to make use of the Board's truant-officers, it would entail a certain amount oi expense to the Board. It was, therefore, decided to reply, asking that Roman Catholic schools should employ their own truaat-offieere.
