BIG BORING SCHEME. Per Press Associate in. Thames, last night. The estimated cost of a comprehensive boring scheme for putting down ten bores two thousand feet is £II,OOO. The Minister of Mines upon arrival will have the de'ails of the scheme placed before him for the development of the deep levels. It will then be ascertained what Government assistance will be available. BLASTING ACCIDENT. Edward Simpson, hadlv injured some time back in a blasting accident, has lost the sight of one eye, and the sight of the other is impaired. PROHIBITION.; The prohibition parly express confidence that they will carry prohibition in the Thames district at the local option poll.
