By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. Mr Hogg, M.H.R., is announced to address the electors at Masterton next Wednesday, and Eketahuna on the 18th. Ashburton, last night. The political campaign opened in Ashburton to-night, when Mr Wm. Brook addressed the electors. He declared himself a Liberal and supporter of the present Government. He favored lease in perpetuity without the right of acquiring freehold, economical administration, referendum, electise executive, limited borrowing for remunerative works, free secondary education, aud universal old age pensions. He was accordsd a favorable hearing and a vote cf thanks.
