OLD COLONISTS
SIXTY YEARS IN NEW ZEALANDBy Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. At St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Cuurch this morning, the fourth annual thanks giving service of old colonists was hetu. Originally, it was got up by arrivals by me two snips Dueness of Argyle and Jane Gitlord, sixty years ago to-oay. The reunion now includes all old colonists by pioneer vessels and their children, the otlicial list of all attending who arrived or were bom in New Zealand sixty years ago or more being kept. The gathering was a very large one. The itov. W. S. Potter, himself a colonist of 4-1 years’ standing, and President of the Auckland Ministers’ Association, presided. The oldest pioneer present iu point of residence was Ebenee--22- Baker, bom at Kenkeri, Bay of Islands, in 1830. A successful social gathering was held in the afternoon.
