LATE SHIPPING.
Auckland, Saturday. Tho schooner Gisborne will sail for Gisborne on Saturday with a full general cargo. The scow Alert is taking in a part cargo at this port for Gisborne, and proceds to Mercury Bay to fill up with timber. Yesterday, the Hawk was floated into the Auckland Dock for cleaning and painting. The extensive repairs and overhaul to tho steamer Balmain are expected to be completed on Tuesday, when tho steamer will go down to Drunken Bay to have her compasses adjusted, and then proceed to Whangarei fur a supply of bunker coal, afterwards going on to Kaipara to load limber for Sydney.
Tho Union Co.’s Te Anau arrived from Auckland last evening at 7.80, and left again for tho South.
