A decrco issued at Caracas orders the revolutionary General Matos to be tried for treason on tho ground that accused offored, if his revolutionary efforts were successful, to allow outside capitalists to control Venezuela’s finances. T n Venezuelan Consul at Liverpool reported that the offer had been made by Matos. In connection with tho Haytian revolution, Gonoral Cliicdoyc has been cxccutod at I’ort au Princo. Gonoral Firmin, in a violont proclamation, accusos Ilayti of instigating Germany to destroy tho gunboat Crotoa Pierrot. Anti-German placards have been postod in tho towns of Gonaivcs and Bt. Mare.
