In the Capo Assembly, Mr Smartt’s resolution, thanking and eulogising the Colonial troops, was carried unanimously. Mr DeWaal moved for tho appointment of a committee to enquire into tho Afrikander Bond’s conduct during the war. Ho declared that tho Bond had done everything possiblo to prevent rebellion, and was ready to co operate towards federation under the British Hag.
