At the Trades Congress Mr Steadman, in a speech, condemned the Education Bill as reactionary, tic advocated old ago pensions and tho necessity for a great Parliamentary labor party. Tho report of the Parliamentary Committee was amended in order to characterise the late war as unjust.

Resolutions were carried in favor of a Bill dealing with employees in shops and an eight hours’ day for all industries.
